Daegu teachers visit Oxford schools

School visits were the main focus of this week’s Workshops for the Korean teachers.  Many thanks to the staff and headteachers at Pegasus School, West Kidlington and Rye St Antony as well as our own International College and IB Sixth Form College for opening their doors.  

Our visitors commented enthusiastically on ‘the commitment of the teachers’, ‘the friendliness of staff and children/students’ and ‘the obvious engagement of children/students in the learning process’.
There really is no substitute for direct experience!

Rep. Adam Schiff: Donald Trump tweets need ‘adult supervision’

Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, told LIU Post students and faculty Friday that President Donald Trump “needs adult supervision” when he uses Twitter to prevent him from making “unfounded accusations” against political rivals. In a question-and-answer session with students on the Brookville campus, Schif  Adviser Susan Rice.   A month after Donald Trump called for a "total and complete shutdown" of Muslims entering the US, a hijab-wearing American named Rose Hamid stood up in the grandstands a few rows behind the presidential candidate. It was January 2016, a few weeks before Republican primary voters began to cast their votes.
